On October 23rd, 2018 on the 14th of the 9th month in the year of the Earth Dog, and on the occasion of His Eminence Vajradhara Luding Khenchen Rinpoche’s 88th birthday, the Sakyapas congregated at Ngor Monastery in Dehradun, India to celebrate the joyous event.
On July 2nd Khenchen Sonam Gyatso Rinpoche started the course of Madhyamaka (Middle Way) teachings by starting with teaching The Madhyamakāvatāra which was composed by Acharya Chandrakirti.
Following the cremation of my teacher Venerable Thinley Nyima who passed away recently, my attendant monks and I made a pilgrimage tour of the local holy sites of Tso Pema (Lotus Lake) also known as Rewalsar in northern India.
