Sutra revealing the seven qualities

དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

Homage to the Three Jewels!

གསོད་སར་ཁྲིད་པ་ལེགས་བཏང་དང། ། དེ་བཞིན་སྲོག་གིས་ཕན་བཏགས་ཤིང། །

སྲོག་ཆགས་འཚེ་བ་ལས་ལྡོག་པས། ། ཚེ་རིང་བ་ནི་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར། །

By freeing animals on their way to being slaughtered,

as well as benefiting (by saving) lives (in other ways),

and turning away from harming animals,

longevity will be attained.

ནད་གཡོག་བྱེད་ཅིང་སྨན་པ་དང་། ། སྨན་རྣམས་སྦྱིན་པར་བྱས་པ་དང། །

སྲོག་ཆགས་རྣམས་ལ་རྡོ་དབྱུག་སོགས། ། འཚེ་བ་སྤངས་པས་ནད་མེད་འགྱུར། །

By nursing the sick and attending to them as a doctor,

by dispensing medicines (to those in need),

and by abandoning harmful acts to animals such as throwing rocks and beating with whips,

one will be free from sicknesses.

ཁྲོ་བ་མེད་དང་རྒྱན་རྣམས་ནི། ། སྦྱིན་པར་བཏང་བས་གཟུགས་ཉིད། །

By not harboring anger and by giving ornaments(to others),

a beautiful body itself will be attained.

ཕྲག་དོག་མེད་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་འདིར། ། སྐལ་པ་བཟང་པོར་ཡོངས་སུ་བསྒྲགས། །

By not having jealousy, it is well known that as a result,

one will become greatly powerful and influential.

ང་རྒྱལ་སྤངས་དང་དམ་པ་རྣམས། ། བརྙེན་བཀུར་བྱས་པས་རིགས་མཐོར་འགྱུར། །

By abandoning pride, and respecting great beings,

one will attain a high birth.

སྦྱིན་བྱེད་རྐུ་བ་ལས་ལྡོག་ན། ། ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པར་འགྱུར། །

By giving and not taking what has not been given,

an abundance of riches will be attained.

གང་ཞིག་སྡིག་ཡིན་དགེ་བ་ཡིན། ། ཡང་དག་དྲི་ལ་བརྩོན་པ་དང། །

ཆོས་ཀྱི་བསྟན་བཅོས་བྱིན་པས་ནི། ། བློ་གྲོས་རྒྱ་ཆེན་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར། །

By diligently asking good questions such as what is non-virtuous and virtuous (to those who know well),

and by giving Dharma texts,

vast knowledge will be attained.

ཡོན་ཏན་བདུན་བསྟན་པའི་མདོ་སློབ་དཔོན་དབྱིག་གཉེན་གྱིས་མཛད་པ་རྫོགས་སོ། །

Sutra revealing the seven qualities composed by Ācārya Vasubandhu is thus completed.

རྒྱ་གར་གི་མཁན་པོ་ཀ་མ་ལ་གུཔྟ་དང་། ཞུས་ཆེན་གྱི་ལོ་ཙྭ་བ་དགེ་སློང་རིན་ཆེན་བཟང་པོས་བསྒྱུར་ཅིང་ཞུས་ཏེ་གཏན་ལ་ཕབ་པའོ། ། ། །
